Amador Art and Wine Festival Tour


Date:  Saturday, November 9, 2019 (9:15 AM) to Sunday, November 10, 2019 (11:00 AM)


Departure Location:  Meet at 9:15 AM on November 9, 2019 at the IHOP in Livermore, 4567 First Street.


Costs:  $54.00/person (includes lunch, wine tasting, entrance to the event, and all you can eat dessert)


             Dinner and hotel accomodations are on your own.


Please purchase one REQUIRED Scenic Drive - Driver ticket (which includes lunch and tickets for the event) per vehicle/order and one Scenic Drive - Passenger ticket for each person in the vehicle.


Maximum of 28 participants.


As we are a Porsche Club, this event is limited to Porsches only. 


Sign-up closes on Sunday, November 3, 2019. 


Attire:  Casual clothes, comfortable walking shoes and jackets for the evening.


Shenandoah Valley Wineries and Sutter Creek Shops create a unique Main Street Wine Tasting Event. With your ticket and commemorative wine glass you can taste 25 Amador County Wines and explore the town for over 2 hours which will be followed by music, art display and all you can eat dessert.


Schedule


9:15 AM - Assemble at IHOP, 4567 First St., Livermore, CA


9:30 AM - Driver's Meeting and Safety Briefing


9:45 AM - Depart for Lockeford


10:45 AM - Arrive at Daddy's House of Ribs for lunch and Restroom



  • 13421 Main St., Lockeford, CA

  • Famous Lockeford Sausage, beans, potato salad, corn bread and drink


12:00 PM - Leave for Sutter Creek


1:15 PM - Arrive at Sutter Creek, Free parking is available along Main Street, but CAUTION, very high curbs in places, best parking probably at the end of the town and by the Post Office.


1:45 PM - Recommend optional city tour with a hometown guide who is located at the Visitor's Center at the far end of town, 71A Main St.

  • Sutter Creek Hotel / 53 Main St.

  • Cavanas Pub and Grub / 36 Main St.

  • Taqueria Ahi / 39 Main St.

  • Buffalo Chips / 76 Main St.                    


4:45 PM - Meet at the Sutter Auditorium City Hall 18 Main St. for wine glass and arm bands



  • Explore both sides of the street to avoid crowds for at least 2 hours.


 7:15 PM (or later) - Meet back at the Sutter Auditorium City Hall for music, art and dessert


 9:00 PM (or your choice) - Consider driving 5 miles to Jackson, CA to check in at the National Hotel, 2 Water Street. Parking is behind the hotel (underneath the police station) follow the signs to Public Parking. The hotel will give you an overnight parking permit to put on the car after check-in.


There are no Porsche reserved rooms at this Hotel, please call and reserve a room ASAP (209) 223-0500 and mention that you are either AAA or AARP member to get a discount. Each room has it's own rate and it can vary from $125 to $200 plus taxes per night depending on the size of the room. Check in is after 3:00 pm and check out is 11:00 am, REMIND them you will be checking in late on the 9th. Breakfast is included from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM.


Nov. 10, 2019: From the front steps of the hotel, you can observe their annual Veteran's Day Parade, the tour ends 11:00 am.


Afterwards, you are welcome to stroll the town and it's main street shops. Other suggestions include stopping to see the outside of the Preston Castle in nearby Ione, California. For the really hungry, the Casino at Jackson Rancheria has an all you can eat lobster tail buffet. (Veterans stop at the center both cashier and get $10 credit for lunch or gambling)
