Tail of the Diablo

The "Tail of the Diablo" tour will take place on Saturday, August 26, 2017.

Costs:  Free, Lunch is pay as you go at the Diablo Grande Golf & Country Club

*important, as in please read first* - rerouted from 2016, Calaveras Road is closed. This run is 1 hour less (2.5-hour drive) than the actual Tail of the Diablo.  Cars should space each other, as there may be more light gravel than usual.

The name comes from the Diablo region and our destination – Diablo Grande Golf & Country Club in Patterson. A few members are familiar with this out-of-the-way destination.  

This fun run starts at Porsche of Livermore. From the dealership, we will head south on Livermore Avenue to Tesla Road to Mines Road. We will follow Mines Road to "The Junction". From "The Junction" we take SR130 East to Patterson. In Patterson, we will take Del Puerto Canyon Road to the Diablo Grande Golf & Country Club where we will have a pay as you go lunch. (68 miles, total driving time approximately 2 hours.)

9:45 AM Driver’s meeting at Porsche of Livermore

10:00 AM Tour begins

~11:00 AM The Junction (Bio-break)

~12:30 PM Diablo Grande Golf & Country Club

Please ensure you have sufficient fuel for the trip.  There are no gas stations along the route.

There may be a delay entering the gated community. Each car will be asked for license plate number, name and destination (the golf course). To facilitate entry, please provide your license plate number.

It will be hot with minimum rest stops. (The Junction has an outhouse). Bring plenty of water for the event, and I suggest a light breakfast and easy on the coffee. As such, the name of the fun run.
