Please purchase one REQUIRED - Scenic Drive - Driver ticket (so we can collect your vehicle information) per vehicle/order and one Scenic Drive - Passenger ticket for each person in the vehicle.

As we are a Porsche Club, this event is limited to Porsches only.

This tour will be held rain or shine and will only be cancelled if Año Nuevo cancels the tour.

This tour includes a Scenic Drive on CA-84 through the redwood forest, and a visit to Año Nuevo State Park, the breeding grounds for the largest marine mammals in California. After arriving at Año Nuevo, we will have a picnic lunch followed by a Docent lead guided tour to see the Elephant Seals. In early March most adult seals have returned to sea, leaving behind hundreds of weaned pups. Groups of pups play in the dunes and learn to swim in the tidepools before heading out to sea.

The trail to see the elephant seals includes a 3-4 mile hike and is considered moderately strenuous over rolling sand dunes with varied terrain. Walks take place rain or shine. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress according to the weather. Umbrellas are not allowed on the guided tours.

Picnic Lunch: Your choice of sandwich, a bag of chips, and water is included. Please choose from the following:

• Meat Choices - Roast Beef, Turkey, Ham, Salame, Seafood Salad, Chicken Salad, Tuna Salad, Cheese, Pastrami
• Bread Choices - Herb Foccacia, Garlic Herb, Sourdough Roll, Dutch Crunch Roll, Sliced Wheat
• Cheese Choices - Cheddar, Jack, Swiss, Pepper Jack, Provolone, Muenster, American
• Condiments - Lettuce, Mustard, Mayo, Onions, Pickles, Tomatoes, Pepperoncini Peppers

Schedule:

• 9:00 AM - Assemble at Shannon Park
• 9:15 AM - Drivers' Meeting (Safety Briefing and Tour Directions)
• 9:30 AM - Depart Shannon Park
• 11:20 AM - Arrive Arcangeli Grocery Co (Bio-break, pick-up sandwiches)
• 11:40 AM - Arrive Ano Nuevo State Park
• 11:40 AM to 1:00 PM - Picnic lunch, explore the displays
• 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM - First docent guided tour
• 1:20 PM to 3:50 PM - Second docent guided tour

Route: (Detailed route instructions will be provided to tour participates.)

• Depart Shannon Park and head South on I-680
• Continue on I-680/I-280 through San Jose
• Exit at Sand Hill Rd and head West
• Continue on CA-84 West past Alice's Restaurant
• Take Stage Rd to Pescadero
• Stop at Arcangeli Grocery Company for bio-break and to pick-up pre-ordered sandwiches
• Take Bean Hollow Rd to Hwy 1
• Continue to Ano Nuevo State PArk

Drivers are responsible for the proper function and safety of their vehicles. Your vehicle should be well maintained with brakes and tire tread above the minimum wear levels. Know the location of all the safety equipment of your vehicle. Sweep vehicles are available for your safety, not to repair your vehicle.
