Join us for a weekday drive through the central valley, through Sierra passes and lakes, and down into South Lake Tahoe. I promise some fantastic views – at least for the passengers. We’ll stop at Jackson Rancheria for a bio-break and lunch and a second stop at Capel’s Lake marina and store. Our final leg of the tour will drop us into South Shore, and we will gather at the Heavenly Gondola Parking Lot before checking into our rooms. Because there is such a range in accommodations, we’ve not booked a block of rooms at one hotel but allow you to choose the accommodation that suits you best. (The tour leader will be staying at Harrah’s, which recently renovated its rooms.) We’ll meet again at 4:45 PM at the rear entrance to Harrah’s near the arcade) to Board the M.S. Dixie II for a 3 – 3.5 hour sunset dinner cruise. (Please purchase your ticket (S156 pp + alcohol) as you register for the tour on Eventbrite.)

In the morning, we'll meet up at the Heavenly Gondola Parking Lot for a drive along the lake, stopping at the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion, a 1903 home along the lakefront. We'll drive to Gar Woods for lunch along the lakeshore at Carnelian Bay. (Please, purchase your ticket (S56 pp + drinks) as you register for the tour on Eventbrite.) The planned events end with our lunch, allowing those who wish to return to the Bay Area, through Truckee and Hwy 80, and the rest of us the opportunity to continue to enjoy beautiful Lake Tahoe.
