Congratulations to Mikie Alexander, Adam Cipriano, and Kirk Doberenz in the 2021 Board of Directors election. Mikie and Adam will continue their outstanding work on the BOD, and Kirk will be replacing Marc Giammona on the BOD. Marc will continue as the Events Chairperson. Date Change and Location Change - 11/13/2021 - Tour Planning meeting, Ruby Hill Community Center, Join us if you are interested in tours, have a tour idea, or would like to help out on the Tour Committee. We are looking for fresh ideas for tours. If you have an idea for a tour please come and share your idea. The Tour Committee will work to make your tour happen, you do not need to lead the tour. Open for registration. 12/11/2021 - Diablo Region Holiday Party and Charity Event, This year’s annual Diablo Region Holiday Party will again be hosted by the club at St. Mary’s College Moraga. The event will begin at 5:00 with wine and beer available at the bar and dinner service beginning at 5:30. The attendee list is limited to 90 people. All attendees must show proof of being fully vaccinated. Members that are not fully vaccinated will not be able to attend. Click here for additional information. Open for registration. Tours If you are aware of some fun roads to drive, or an interesting destination, please contact the Tour Committee (Susie George, 11/22/2021 - Tour to HPDE at Laguna Seca, Wondered what a “Driver Education Event” is about? Join us for a visit to Diablo’s Drivers Education event at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Click here for additional information and to register for this tour. Registration for tours and other events is done via Eventbrite (you will need to create an account with Eventbrite to register for a tour). Watch for a link to the registration site in this section of the ENews or on our website. Tours often sell out the same day tickets go on sale. Be prepared to sign-up for tours as soon as registration is open. If you are unable to register for the tour, add your name to the waitlist in case of cancellations. Emails regarding last-minute Tour information and openings for waitlisted individuals will come from Eventbrite and If you wish to purchase your own radio, the Club is using the Motorola Talkabout T800 radios. Revised Helmet Requirements - PCA has updated their helmet requirements: "COVID related supply chain disruptions have limited availability of Snell 2020 Rated helmets. PCA does not want to force members to compromise on such an important piece of safety equipment. We have therefore decided to continue allowing 2010 helmets through the end of 2021. As supplies improve, we do encourage those of you with 2010 helmets to replace them without waiting for the hard cutoff at the beginning of 2022. 2020 helmets are available but in limited supply. If you have helmet preferences, please prepare for the changeover and start shopping for that new helmet."
