Diablo PCA provides a welcoming and engaging community that enriches our member's Porsche ownership experience. What's New The Diablo PCA Board of Directors (BOD) wishes you all a safe and healthy new year. With the spread of the Covid-19 Omicron variant, the Club is curtailing "official" indoor Club activities. This includes the Monthly Dinners at Faz and Breakfasts at the Buttercup. Outdoor activities, such as Tours are not affected. You may continue to gather on your own at these restaurants. The BOD will re-evaluate this decision at the February 14, 2022, BOD meeting. We appreciate your understanding and hope that we will be able to join together for events soon. Welcome to our new Board of Directors. Brian Adkins, Mikie Alexander, and Pam Richards continue their roles as President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Bob Hilton transitions to the Vice President role. Our Directors at Large are Adam Cipriano, Juan Fernandez, and newly elected Kirk Doberenz. We are looking for a volunteer to take over the role of Charity Chair. Along with our Car Shows, Summer Picnic, Ocktoberfest, and Holiday Party, the Tour Committee has over 20 tours planned for the year. Check the Calendar in the Devil's Advocate and below for tentative dates for Tours. We will start the year with a midweek tour to Ano Nuevo State Park for a guided tour of the elephant seals. New - 3/3/2022 - Ano Nuevo State Park, Join us for a scenic ride to Ano Nuevo State Park. Once at the park we will have a picnic lunch, followed by a docent-guided tour to see the elephant seals. Due to ticket availability, this is a weekday tour. Tickets are on sale now. Click here for additional information and to register for this tour. Please plan to register early for the events. We encourage wearing name badges to avoid those awkward moments when you can't remember a name. Affiliate Members - If you have a spouse or a friend that is interested in Porsches. consider adding them as an Affiliate PCA Member. Affiliate members get their own PCA number and can have a separate email address. There is no charge for adding an Affiliate member. If you need assistance with adding an Affiliate member, contact our Membership Chairs, Juan and Rowena Fernandez at Events Save the date for the following events: 3/14/2022 - The Annual General Meeting will be held via Zoom in conjunction with our Monthly Board of Directors Meeting. All members are welcome to attend the Monthly Board of Directors meetings. At the Annual Meeting, a summary of the last year will be presented. Tours 3/6/2022 (tentative) - USS Hornet Tour 3/19/2022 (tentative) - Lunar New Year Tour If you are aware of some fun roads to drive, or an interesting destination, please contact the Tour Committee (Susie George, Registration for tours and other events is done via Eventbrite (you will need to create an account with Eventbrite to register for a tour). Watch for a link to the registration site in this section of the ENews or on our website. Tours often sell out the same day tickets go on sale. Be prepared to sign-up for tours as soon as registration is open. If you are unable to register for the tour, add your name to the waitlist in case of cancellations. Emails regarding last-minute Tour information and openings for waitlisted individuals will come from Eventbrite and If you wish to purchase your own radio, the Club is using the Motorola Talkabout T800 radios. These are sold in pairs through Amazon for about $85.00. These radios are FRS/GMRS compatible, have 22 channels and 121 privacy codes (or sub-channels).
