Diablo PCA provides a welcoming and engaging community that enriches our member's Porsche ownership experience. What's New Breakfast at the Buttercup and Monthly Dinner at Faz (beginning 3/17/2022) are back. The BODs re-evaluated the decision to curtail "official" indoor activities and in alignment with State and Local guidelines decided to reinstate these activities. Please continue to observe State and Local social distancing requirements and respect others attending these events. The Diablo PCA Board of Directors (BOD) wishes you all a safe and healthy year. Threads and Treads is back in person at last. After 2 years of Zooming we can finally get together. We are meeting on Tuesday, March 8th at the Black Bear Diner in Danville (807 Camino Ramon at the corner of Sycamore Valley Rd. and Camino Ramon). We will meet at 6:00 - 9:00 in a private room at the back of the restaurant. We will be given separate checks and are able to order off the menu. After we fill our tummies we will start working on blankets or whatever project you have. Anyone is welcome, even if they don’t know how to knit or crochet. We have people that will help. Please email ingridlfrench@gmail to let me know if you are attending so we can let the restaurant know how to set up. See you all on the 8th. Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 12:00 PM. Click here to sign up for the tour and for additional information. Our first DE day of the year is scheduled for April 1, 2022, at Thunderhill Raceway. Registration for this event opens on Friday, February 4, 2022. Click here to register, and for more information regarding this event. Consider making it a 3-day weekend. PCA Golden Gate Region will be at Thunderhill on Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3, 2022. New - DE101 for our Thunderhill DE day will be held via a Zoom meeting on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 6:00 PM. We ask that every registered driver attend this event, but it is highly recommended for all new DE drivers. Click here for additional information and the link to the Zoom meeting. The Zone 7 Autocross schedule is up with the first autocross scheduled for March 12-13, 2022 at Crow's Landing Airport. Autocross is the perfect venue for learning what your car can really do, as well as developing your car control skills in a very safe and controlled environment. It's exciting, exhilarating, and blow your socks off fun. In addition to the giggle-inducing rush, there is also the thrill of developing the skills to slide a ton and a half of snarling metal around the course in a smooth, precise ballet. All members are welcome to attend the Monthly Board of Directors meetings. At the Annual Meeting, a summary of the last year will be presented. Tours 3/3/2022 - Ano Nuevo State Park, Join us for a scenic ride to Ano Nuevo State Park. Once at the park we will have a picnic lunch, followed by a docent-guided tour to see the elephant seals. TBD - USS Hornet Tour 4/9/2022 (tentative) - Ladies Only Tour If you are aware of some fun roads to drive, or an interesting destination, please contact the Tour Committee (Susie George, Registration for tours and other events is done via Eventbrite (you will need to create an account with Eventbrite to register for a tour). Watch for a link to the registration site in this section of the ENews or on our website. Tours often sell out the same day tickets go on sale. Be prepared to sign-up for tours as soon as registration is open. If you are unable to register for the tour, add your name to the waitlist in case of cancellations. Emails regarding last-minute Tour information and openings for waitlisted individuals will come from Eventbrite and If you wish to purchase your own radio, the Club is using the Motorola Talkabout T800 radios. These are sold in pairs through Amazon for about $85.00. These radios are FRS/GMRS compatible, have 22 channels and 121 privacy codes (or sub-channels).
