Año Nuevo Tour - Guided Elephant Seal Walk & Equal Access Tour

Costs:  $11.00 includes

• Docent guided Elephant Seal Walk (15 tickets), or
• Equal Access Tour (8 tickets, visitors requiring mobility assistance)

Parking Fee: Not included in the $11.00 ticket price

• Auto Regular - $10.00
• Auto Senior (one person in car 62+) - $9.00
• State Park Pass - Free
• Lunch at Davenport Roadhouse (please be prepared to split the bill amongst those at your table)

Please indicate if you are a Driver or Passenger when purchasing tickets.

Please be considerate of other participants and purchase Equal Access Tour tickets only if you require mobility assistance. Each individual requiring mobility assistance may purchase a second ticket for a guest. (i.e., 4 mobility assisted persons and 4 guests).

As we are a Porsche Club, this event is limited to Porsches only.

This tour will be held rain or shine and will only be cancelled if Año Nuevo cancels the tour.

This tour includes a Scenic Drive on Stevens Canyon Road to Hwy 9. From Hwy 9 we will take Felton Empire, Empire Grade, and Bonny Doon roads through the redwood forest to the coast. We will stop for lunch (on your own) at Davenport Roadhouse. After lunch we will continue to Año Nuevo State Park, the breeding grounds for the largest marine mammals in California. At Año Nuevo we reserved 15 spots on a Guided Elephant Seal Walk (12:40 PM) and 8 spots on an Equal Access Tour (1:00 PM). The Equal Access Tour is reserved for those visitors requiring mobility assistance.

The trail to see the elephant seals includes a 3-4 mile hike and is considered moderately strenuous over rolling sand dunes with varied terrain. Walks take place rain or shine. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress according to the weather. Umbrellas are not allowed on the guided tours.

Schedule:

• 8:30 AM - Assemble at Raley's on Sunol Blvd in Pleasanton
• 8:45 AM - Drivers' Meeting (Safety Briefing and Tour Directions)
• 9:00 AM - Depart Raley's
• 11:00 AM - Arrive Davenport Roadhouse
• 12:00 PM - Depart Davenport Roadhouse
• 12:20 PM - Arrive Ano Nuevo State Park
• 12:40 - 3:10 PM - Guided Elephant Seal Walking Tour
• 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM - Equal Access Tour
• 1:20 PM to 3:50 PM - Second docent guided tour

Drivers are responsible for the proper function and safety of their vehicles. Your vehicle should be well maintained with brakes and tire tread above the minimum wear levels. Know the location of all the safety equipment of your vehicle. Sweep vehicles are available for your safety, not to repair your vehicle.
