Porsche Club of America 70th Anniversary Club Coupe

PCA National announced at Parade this week the70th Anniversary Club Coupe;

The Porsche Club of America is proud to announce the third 911 Club Coupe, a collaboration with Porsche AG to celebrate our club’s 70th anniversary. As with the 50th and 60th anniversary Club Coupes, this Club Coupe contains many unique features that one cannot not find on other Porsches. 70 units will be produced and exclusively offered for sale to PCA members through a raffle system.

First impressions are important, and it’s the exterior paint color of the PCA70 911 Club Coupe that first catches the eyes. Sholar Blue was formulated in honor of PCA’s founder, Bill Sholar, and is a metallic interpretation of Club Blau, the color Porsche created for the PCA60 Club Coupe. Darker and richer thanks to the metallic flake, the Paint to Sample Plus color is exclusively offered on the PCA70 Club Coupe. Renowned Porsche Designer and Director of Special Projects at Style Porsche Grant Larson combined Sholar Blue with other exterior enhancements that hint at the car’s PCA roots, notably the Guards Red hockey stick decals on the front apron and the Guards Red rear grille inserts.

At first glance, the Club Coupe’s starting point is mysterious to the untrained eye. A peek inside reveals a manual transmission with a birchwood knob, and the shape of the rear grille, adorned with a 70 Years PCA grille badge, confirms it: The PCA70 911 Club Coupe is built from a 911 Carrera T (992.2).

Stay tuned to PCA.org for more information and updates on this incredible opportunity for PCA members. Consider expressing your interest to become a PCA70 911 Club Coupe owner at the link below, it is free to all PCA members to enter.  Let's get a 70th Club Coupe in a Diablo member's garage.

7/12/2025 - Breakfast at the Buttercup this Saturday

This Saturday and every Saturday Diablo holds its longest running event.  Breakfast at the Buttercup.  This event is older than Diablo and is in fact where our Region was born.  The breakfast officially starts at 7:30 but most people are there at 7:00 so pick your time. This is a great way to get to know your fellow Diablo members.  If you are a new member or this is your first time at the Buttercup please standup and introduce yourself.  After breakfast we adjourn to the parking lot to check out the cars and visit.  Come once and you'll be hooked.  The Buttercup is a great independent resturaunt at 600 Ygnacio Valley Blvd. Walnut Creek.  We'll see you there.

7/16/2025 - Dine with Diablo

Join us at the next "Dine with Diablo" on Wednesday 7/16/25 at 6PM at Hazy Barbecue, 200 Hartz Avenue in Danville, CA.

Located in Downtown Danville, Hazy BBQ is an order at the counter-type restaurant, so you can order from the regular menu and pay with separate checks.  We will have a spot reserved on their outside patio, so please dress accordingly. Hazy BBQ has been recognized by Diablo Magazine as the "Best of the East Bay" in 2024.

From their website:

BBQ and Beer
Our barbecue technique parallels Texas style; smoked meats with signature dry rubs over oak wood fires.  And although smoky, tender, juicy fare is literally "the meat" of Hazy, we also offer a variety of delicious salads, fresh vegetable sides and many unique options for all ages, diets and lifestyles.  We may have taken a page from Texas, but this is California after all! Oh, and the bar features plenty of Hazy IPA's.  No plot twist there!

Please register in Eventbrite so we know how many tables/chairs to set-up and so we can send you a survey afterwards.

Thank you and see you there.
