If you have contributions to the Devil's Advocate, please send them to Maiko Woodson-Mendoza at New - 8/4/2024 - DE at Sonoma Raceway, our third DE of the year will be at Sonoma Raceway. No, that is not a typo. Sonoma Raceway is allowing us to instruct again so we will be offering instruction for beginners at this event. There will be five run groups for this event, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Instructors, and Track Performance (for those racing in the Club Race on Saturday and Sunday). PCA Golden Gate region will be at Sonoma Raceway on Saturday and Sunday, so register for both and make it a 3-day weekend. Click here to register for the event. Registration open.

New - 7/8/2023 - Porsches on the Plaza, The Redwood Region of PCA is holding a car show July 8th on the Plaza in Sonoma. Let’s support them and their charity by attending. The park at the plaza is a beautiful place to spend a summer day. We will stake out a spot and plant the Diablo flag. This will be our spot for picnicking and socializing. Sign up today and join us. New - 7/19/2023 - Club Dinner at Fat Matties in Blackhawk, we’re going to Fat Maddie’s at 3483 Blackhawk Plaza Cir., Blackhawk Plaza, in Danville. They opened their first location in San Ramon in 2010. The style is Southern food with southern charm and local brews and wineries. Click here for additional information and to sign up for the event. 7/21-23/2023 - Redwoods, Roads, Route 1 Tour, join us for an overnight tour to northern California. On Friday we will drive by Lake Berryessa and stop for lunch in Lakeport (Clear Lake). From there we will drive through the Redwoods on the Avenue of the Giants. On the second day, you may join us for a drive in the area, visit the Fortuna Auto Xpo, or explore the area on your own. Our drive back on Sunday will take us along Hwy 1 to Hwy 128 where we will head east to Hwy 101, ending the tour in Petaluma. We have a block of rooms reserved for tour participants at the historic Scotia Lodge. Click here for additional information and to register for the event. Tickets on sale on now. Hamilton Rally, co-hosted by the Diablo Region, the Golden Gate Region, and the Redwood Region of the Porsche Club of America. The rally will explore the back roads of the East Bay with a break at the Lick Observatory atop Mount Hamilton, the highest peak in the San Francisco Bay Area. This event is open to all rallyists, regardless of PCA membership or make of car driven. All roads are paved, public, and in good condition. Join your Porsche family members at this year's annual club picnic and car display. Updated - 8/5/2023 - Porsche in Pleasanton, the City of Pleasanton has invited us to take over Main Street in downtown Pleasanton for their annual car show. This year it is all Porsches. Join us as we fill the town with nothing but Porsches. This event is to benefit the Pleasanton Downtown Association in supporting the downtown Pleasanton businesses. Entry fee is sponsored by Porsche of Livermore, please drop by their booth and thank them. The street will be shut down to traffic and opened up for people to stroll and view the various models, years, and excellence that is Porsche. So please come join the fun and share your love of Porsche, because; it's not just the cars - it's the people. As the saying goes, "many hands make light work". We are looking for members to raise their hands as volunteers. As Diablo Region members, we enjoy an active calendar of driving tours, DE days, social events and other club activities throughout the year. These events simply don't happen organically. It takes the combined efforts of many volunteers to make the magic happen. If you are interested in helping out, we can surely use your help. Tours New - 8/4/2023 - Tour to Sonoma Raceway
If you are aware of some fun roads to drive, or an interesting destination, please contact the Tour Committee (Susie George, Registration for tours and other events is done via Eventbrite (you will need to create an account with Eventbrite to register for a tour). Watch for a link to the registration site in this section of the ENews or on our website. Tours often sell out the same day tickets go on sale. Be prepared to sign-up for tours as soon as registration is open. If you are unable to register for the tour, add your name to the waitlist in case of cancellations. Emails regarding last-minute Tour information and openings for waitlisted individuals will come from Eventbrite and If you wish to purchase your own radio, the Club is using the Motorola Talkabout T800 radios. These are sold in pairs through Amazon for about $85.00. These radios are FRS/GMRS compatible, have 22 channels and 121 privacy codes (or sub-channels).
