5/14/2023 - Porsches & Pastries, join us for our monthly informal car show at KarPark Automotive Storage in Pleasanton. This is a great opportunity to meet with fellow Porsche enthusiasts and show your car. Bring your families, enjoy the cars, and the well-known Diablo Region camaraderie. New - 5/21/2023 - A Morning of SIM Racing, join us for a morning of competition as you drive the iconic Laguna Seca race course against fellow Diablo PCA members. Then enjoy pizza and beverages as you discuss your driving prowess with the other competitors. 5/24/2023, For the May Diablo dinner in Solano County we've decided to mix it up. We will be gathering at Pietro's #1 in Vacaville for Porsches and Pizza at Pietro's. Pietro's is a wonderful family-owned restaurant that has been operating at the same location since 1957.  They have delicious pizza and Italian specialties to choose from. This will be a special dinner that you'll want to attend. Please note there are two Pietro's in Vacaville, we will be at #1 which is at 407 Cernon St. In June we will return to our monthly dinner at the Mankas Grill. Sign up today, we are limited to 35 people so don't miss out.

5/28/2023 - 39th Annual Car Show, join us for our Annual Memorial Day Car Show and Charity event at the Livery in Danville. This fun people's choice event includes a car show, music, street tacos provided by Luna Loca, and raffle prizes with donations going to Paws for Purple Hearts. Click here to register for this event.

New - 6/17/2023 - Black Sheep Racing, join us for an afternoon of racing with one of the hottest race teams in 992 cup racing. Our host is Black Sheep Racing out of Fairfield, California. They have invited us to meet at the Sonoma Raceway for an up-close look at their 992 Cup cars. Our second DE of the year is scheduled for Friday, June 23, 2023, at Thunderhill on the popular East (3-mile) track. Check out the Driver Education (DE) section below for a link to the registration site, additional information, and for a list of DE dates for the year. Consider making it a 3-day weekend, the Golden Gate Region will be at Thunderhill on Saturday and Sunday, June 24-25, 2023. DE Instructors, we would appreciate it if you could sign-up early. Check out our Tours - There are lots of great tours planned for the next couple of months including tours where you can bring your pups, learn to cook, take a backroad drive to Half Moon Bay to watch airplanes take off and land, enjoy wine in an old sugar mill, or spend the weekend amongst the redwoods in Northern California.  Check out the Tours section below for additional information. Tickets for several of the tours go on sale at noon on Friday. Sign-up early as tours can sell out quickly.

BOD Meetings - Board of Directors (BOD) meetings held on the second Monday of the month are open to all Diablo PCA members. Diablo PCA has a new way for members to connect.  We have created a Facebook Group just for you.  Here you will find members telling members about drives they've taken, cars they have seen, posting photos, letting each other know about informal get togethers and much more.  You will also get news hot off the press from Diablo PCA.  Everyone is welcome to join just click on Diablo Region - Porsche Club of America Group.  So please come join the fun and share your love of Porsche, because; it's not just the cars - it's the people.

As the saying goes, "many hands make light work". We are looking for members to raise their hands as volunteers. As Diablo Region members, we enjoy an active calendar of driving tours, DE days, social events and other club activities throughout the year. These events simply don't happen organically. It takes the combined efforts of many volunteers to make the magic happen. 5/17/2023 - Little Tail of the Dragon, join us for a midweek tour to the Little Tail of the Dragon. This will be a "Driver's" tour starting in Livermore, we will head east Hwy 120 to Hwy 49 where we will pick up the "Little Tail of the Dragon", traveling through Coulterville to Bear Valley Road. From Bear Valley Road we will head southwest to Hornitos, then north to La Grange where we will take Hwy 132 west to Modesto. At the end of the drive, we will have lunch (on your own) at the Harvest Moon Restaurant. Click here to add your name to the waitlist. Space Available - 5/14/2023 - 6th Annual Porsches & Pups Tour, this is the sixth annual tour that started 2017. It has slowly been growing as more Porsche owners are choosing to bring their Furkids with them on their adventures! The tour will depart from Dennys in Fremont towards Monterey. We will have a scenic drive through Morgan Hill, Gilroy, Watsonville, Moss Landing, and Seaside before heading to Islands in Monterey for lunch. Click here for additional information and to register for this tour. Sales ended

New - 6/1/2023 - Half Moon Bay Tour, join us for a weekday tour to Half Moon Bay. This tour will feature a "Driver's" drive through the coastal redwood forest and a drive up the coast on Hwy 1. Starting in Pleasanton, we will take Niles Canyon Road to Fremont, then take highway 84 (Dumbarton Bridge) to Kings Mountain Road which will take us to Skyline Blvd. From Skyline we will head south turning west (at Alice's Restaurant) onto Highway 84. We will follow San Gregorio Road to Hwy 1, then head north to the Pilot Light restaurant. New - 6/10/2023 - Sacramento Delta Tour, please join us on a drive through the Delta. We will depart the Fairfield Costco and travel eastbound on Interstate 80 to eastbound California Highway 12. We will go through the city of Rio Vista before turning onto Highway 160. We will travel along the Sacramento River up to Clarksburg and the Old Sugar Mill. Here we will have a stop where you can enjoy several wineries tasing rooms. After our break we will continue onto Old Town Sacramento where you can enjoy dining and shopping on your own and with friends. Click here for additional information and to register for the event. Tickets on sale now.

New - 7/21-23/2023 - Redwoods, Roads, Route 1 Tour, join us for an overnight tour to northern California. On Friday we will drive by Lake Berryessa and stop for lunch in Lakeport (Clear Lake). From there we will drive through the Redwoods on the Avenue of the Giants. On the second day, you may join us for a drive in the area, visit the Fortuna Auto Xpo, or explore the area on your own. Our drive back on Sunday will take us along Hwy 1 to Hwy 128 where we will head east to Hwy 101, ending the tour in Petaluma. We have a block of rooms reserved for tour participants at the historic Scotia Lodge. Click here for additional information and to register for the event. Tickets on sale on now.

We are always looking for fun opportunities to take our cars out for a ride. The Tour Committee will work with you to make it happen.

Registration for tours and other events is done via Eventbrite (you will need to create an account with Eventbrite to register for a tour). Watch for a link to the registration site in this section of the ENews or on our website. Tours often sell out the same day tickets go on sale. Be prepared to sign-up for tours as soon as registration is open. If you wish to purchase your own radio, the Club is using the Motorola Talkabout T800 radios. These are sold in pairs through Amazon for about $85.00. These radios are FRS/GMRS compatible, have 22 channels and 121 privacy codes (or sub-channels).
